St. Ann’s Memorial Garden was established in 1978 with a gift from Cecil Wheeler, in memory of his wife, Florence. His wish was to provide an attractive and peaceful location for the interment of urns containing the cremains of members, relatives of members, and summer communicants of St. Ann’s Episcopal Church.
A committee oversees the records, operation and maintenance of the Garden. They meet quarterly and also submit an annual report. All matters concerning the fees, the physical appearance, any proposed changes in the operating procedures, and eligibility for interment of other than those stated above, require a majority vote of the committee.
A restricted perpetual care fund provides for the care of the garden.
Each burial plot is required to have a marker installed within a year of internment. All markers consist of a 12″ square marble or granite foundation with an 8″ square bronze memorial tablet, all flush with the ground. While there are no exceptions to this requirement, a variety of beautiful options within these specifications are available.
Each individual plot is priced at $200.
